Crankshaft sensors and camshaft sensors
Accurate measurement for a precise and timely ignition
Crankshaft sensors (also known as BDP, Upper Dead Point, sensor) register how fast the engine runs. By means of the teeth on the flywheel, the sensor can determine the speed of the engine and pass this on to the computer. The camshaft sensor is necessary because the crankshaft sensor can not determine in which exact position the engine is. This position is important to ensure that the ignition and the fuel supply by means of the injection system, take place at the right moment. The crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensors work closely together and together they have an important task. If one of them does not function properly, the engine will not start or even stop to prevent engine damage.
The crankshaft sensors and camshaft sensors of Kavo Parts are manufactured by specialists and tested according to strict OEM specifications. Our suppliers use the best materials and comprehensive test procedures for this purpose. This not only guarantees excellent and accurate operation, but also a long life and a perfect fit.
